Silhouette

Silhouette is a life-size bronze sculpture that explores the fluid relationship between the figurative and the abstract. The figure of a woman, initially clothed in a flowing dress, gradually transforms into an abstract, cubist structure as the form descends. As the dress morphs into geometric planes, the figure appears to fragment, stacked in sections, creating a sense of both disintegration and structural reformation. The contrast between the solid, realistic upper body and the fragmented, colorful lower half speaks to the tension between form and formlessness, identity and transformation.
